After 27 years in EMS as a paramedic and firefighter, Martin is now focusing his energies on preventing injuries instead of responding to them.
He has spoken for organizations such as NASA, ExxonMobil, and Los Alamos National Laboratory to name a few
He now produces his own safety videos.
Videos he has produced include Wilderness Awareness, Bear Safety, Walking Safely on Icy Surfaces, Distraction, and several more.
In his spare time, Martin has climbed mountains in Nepal, Ecuador, Iceland and Canada.
As an interesting side note, Martin was a silver medalist in Boxing in the Canadian Winter Games and was a Golden Glove boxing champion in Manitoba for three years in the 70s
Martin has never been seriously injured and plans to keep it that way.
